He developed a system running from 5 Apple Mac minis and with a further Mac mini running the control program derived from the open source package Multiscreener (<a title=\"see here\" href=\"http:\/\/www.zachpoff.com\/software\/multiscreener\/\">see here<\/a>).\u00a0 He was aided by a student on the BA (Multimedia) course who worked on the project and published <a href=\"http:\/\/echonarcissus.wordpress.com\/\">this blog<\/a> showing their development and testing of the multiscreen design.<\/p>\n<p>At the Riverfront installation, the arrangement was further programmed by Adam using the <a href=\"https:\/\/processing.org\/\">Processing development environment<\/a> to include the interactive choice screen, a resynching mechanism, and material which ran between the end of one screening and the beginning of the next, as a multi-screen saver and timer.\u00a0Here are some pictures of this setup:<\/p>\n<table>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/coral.ncvp.net\/echo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Echo_Narcissus_Coral-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" \/>\n<\/td>\n<td>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/coral.ncvp.net\/echo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Echo_Narcissus_Coral-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" \/>\n<\/td>\n<td>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/coral.ncvp.net\/echo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Echo_Narcissus_Coral-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" \/>\n<\/td>\n<td>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/coral.ncvp.net\/echo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Echo_Narcissus_Coral-5.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" \/>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n<p>After this public showing (see <a title=\"Installation page\" href=\"https:\/\/coral.ncvp.net\/echo\/installation\/\">installation page<\/a> for photos of the Riverfront arrangements), where we used university projectors linked to the mac minis, and a separate amplifier and speakers hired externally, Nick Pollock decided to make the installation more portable and cheaper to mount.\u00a0He therefore redesigned the software to run on Raspberry Pi computers, and to use consumer sound equipment.
