Studio stills selected from the shoot at Caerleon film studios showing cast and crew at work and play. \u00a0This was a blue screen shoot because the university had not yet invested in a green screen (Echo was pivotal in them finally getting one!). \u00a0We built the screen out of blue paper suspended on a wooden framework, but it didn’t work well, so the end result is even more Ray Harryhausen than we expected. \u00a0In front of this we created the effect of a greek location, mostly through the pillar and a few bowls of fruit. \u00a0Some curtains, less effective than they could have been, did the rest. \u00a0It’s possible that we could have come up with a better solution had we found a proper location for the Gods, but it’s easy to know this retrospectively.<\/p>\n
